Conduct is built on a simple principle: nobody should ever control your money but you. That’s why the system is entirely non-custodial.
The keys that grant access to your funds never leave your device, and they’re protected using the same secure enclaves that safeguard your biometric data. Because Conduct is decentralized, no law enforcement agency, no bank, no third party can interfere with your funds.
Private keys are encrypted on your device and stored in the platform’s keychain. The Conduct app is the only app that has access to these keys. A private key is derived from a list of words called a mnemonic, which should be treated like a password and never shared with anyone.
When you set up a wallet, you’re given a recovery phrase. That phrase is the ultimate backup. Write it down on paper, keep it somewhere safe, and never share it with anyone. Lose it, and no one — not even us — can recover it for you. If you lose your phone, you can recover your wallet using the same word list.
Conduct has been audited by leading blockchain security firms to ensure the safety of your funds. We maintain transparency about our security practices and audit results.
